Avi is a year old! Time has flown by!
We celebrated her birthday at our house. We had family and a few friends come and celebrate. I got her a cupcake for her birthday cake and she seemed to love it for a few minutes. And then she got frustrated because it was all over her hands.
She is so sweet and Zuri is counting down the moments where they can chase each other around. Avi likes to chase Zuri now, but she loves to run on her knees! Which inevitably leads to a face plant at some point.
She laughs a lot and her new favorite thing is to open her mouth wide when she gets excited!
Avi loves to read books with me and loves to take my hand and make me tickle her on a page in the book where the bee "buzzes". She also likes the hopping bunnies. We read the same book all the time because she loves it so much.
Avi is a bit defiant and thinks it is funny when we tell her no. She will shake her head and laugh. Not really the response you hope for! She gets in trouble while trying to steal food from Zuri, for instance she tried to take an apple that Zuri was eating straight from Zuri's mouth. As you can imagine this didn't go over well. Avi actually ended up with the apple and Zuri sharing which might have been a first. She also loves to pull Zuri's or my hair. She does it in the tub all the time and Zuri screams and then Avi laughs. Then during meal times Avi will throw food on the floor. I will tell her no and she will laugh and shake her head and do it again.
Avi loves to dance to music. She loves toys that make music and she will push the buttons over and over and dance to the music.
Now if we could just learn to stand and talk! Avi doesn't really have any words yet and I am starting to work on the walking!
