Zuri is getting so big! Her sitting skills are on again and off again, like most things in her life!
Then she tries to reach for something (or as you can see swinging the animals around) and falls over.
She had her first try at sitting in the high chair at a restaurant, but it was a bad day (long with little napping) so it was not a fun time for her. In fact, about five minutes after this picture I brought her home and got her ready for bed, while nana, papa, abuela and daddy all stayed to eat their olive garden!
Abuela was here visiting for a week. Here they are together at Dena's birthday party!
We have been having a new issue at night (not that we needed ANOTHER issue!). Zuri keeps rolling over onto her stomach and getting stuck up against the crib and can't get back over. She SCREAMS like a crazy baby until I go in and get her back over. But then of course she won't just go back to sleep, because she is freaked out! If she would just learn to roll over stomach to back better. She rolled over again this morning for me, on the floor, but only when I first lay her on the floor and her arms are in a "good" spot for doing this, she doesn't get that she needs to move her arms up to roll over, instead she superman's out and can't get back over. So, I had to put a rolled up tiny blanket in the crib that is going from her belly button toward the crib wall (as she only rolls over on one side at night) since she sleeps on her left side. This way hopefully she can't roll over and yet it is in a good spot, to keep her safe still.
It has been so smokey lately that I haven't been able to go out for a run with Zuri. It is really quite sad for me, since that is my main option for working out, besides biking inside, which isn't very exciting or difficult.
I weighed her today, with all of her clothes on and she weighed 16 lbs 3 oz. Which means that she probably is just under 16 lbs without clothes. At her four month appointment she was 13 lbs, so that means she has gained about 3 lbs in 6 weeks!!
We leave in 6 days for Oregon and another tournament, hoping this trip goes better than the Kansas one!
