Christmas Tree!

Last night I went out and bought, then subsequently put up our 1st Christmas Tree!  I put it up after Zuri went to bed last night, I didn't think she would even really look at the tree.  Wow, I was wrong!


We walked down the stairs this morning and she immediately spotted the tree and started smiling.  She does love trees.  Then I turned on the lights and she started laughing!  I told her it was a CHRISTMAS TREE!!!

Now if you ask her where the Christmas Tree is she will immediately look at the tree and smile!

Busy...

Long delay in posts, we have been busy.  Busy doing what?  Mainly dealing with a fussy baby.  Zuri has been on a real fun crab streak.  I thought maybe she was getting more teeth, but when I can quickly check, it doesn't seem like any are coming in right now.  Maybe she is just being fussy because our schedule has been off a bit with Pedro not working this week.  Whatever it is, today was HOPEFULLY a turning point back to my good baby that loves to eat and crawl around the house.

I'm trying to get a Thanksgiving picture, we spent it at Karen's parents house with her whole family and my parents.  Food was good and everything was good, except my cranky baby.  Cranky because she was tired and just because she can be, I guess.

10 Months!

Our feisty 10 month old!  Gotta love it.  She has been cranky the past few days.  Seems like crawling is no longer super exciting.  She wants to pull herself up to stand.  Or stand in front of me.  So, just like the crawling, if I am around she doesn't want to do it on her own.  She wants me to help her.  Zuri has also been very clingy at home lately.  Of course when we go to the gym daycare she is ready as soon as we walk into the gym.  Hoping that excitement continues because it is great to know that she is having so much fun while I am working out.

Here she is playing at the gym with a play house.  She loves being in the "big kid" area and doesn't spend time in the baby area (and hasn't for months).

The time change has not been very helpful to us because she is on the old time and I want her on the new time.  Sadly, she seems to be winning out in this situation.  Which means a 6:45am wake up for me.  She is still taking two naps, although again we are struggling.  I am not sure if it is the time change, or if she just doesn't want to nap as much.  Some days she naps really well for both naps and other days she is only good for one and not the other.


Eating has been going well.  She still eats about the same as her 9 month schedule.  She might eat a little less on some days.  I have been trying to give her a pouch before the gym when we are going around 1:00 (running late on these days).  This seems to help her grouchiness when I first get her from the gym, which is when I usually give her the pouch.  When we get to the car she now gets her own sippy cup, which she also gets during her meals, if she wants it.

She loves crawling after the cat, cords and playing with the doggy dish and doggy door...

Happy Halloween!

Holiday's are definitely a lot more fun now that we have Zuri!  This was her first Halloween and although she is really young and didn't know what was going on, we had a great time Trick or Treating with Grey and Ashby.  Grey did such an amazing job at going to the door and saying "Trick or Treat Please!"  He would then make sure that "Baby Zuri" got her treats.  He was so nice.  Pretty sure Grey and Ashby, both think that Zuri's name is "Baby Zuri".  Ashby kept giving us treats too, more interested in making sure Zuri had treats.  We went to all the houses on Kory's street and around the block.  It was the perfect amount.  Then we went over to Nana's so she could see all their costumes.


Zuri was such a good girl.  Well, she was really good, except that she decided she did NOT want her face painted.  I have no idea why.  She wasn't bothered with the costume or the headpiece, just the idea of having her face painted.  We got one small dark spot on her nose and that was it.  She enjoyed going to Kory and Karen's to play with all the toys and to chase their cat.  She LOVES cats.  Then she had a good time being out and about since she is very social.  Zuri was so good, even though it was way past her bedtime!
