About two weeks late posting about Avi turning 13 months! But she has had some big changes from 12 to 13 months.
At 13 months Avi decided to start wanting to walk more. She still would not pull herself up (which happened about a week after her 13 month birthday). She likes to hold hands and walk. The walker is still a bit questionable, but some of that is because Zuri likes to push the walker and it makes her fall. However, she still prefers to walk on her knees!
Avi also got another tooth so she has 4 teeth at 13 months. With two more that came in this last week to make 6 teeth. She has been a little more needy and fussy than general, but nothing too terrible.
Eating has been going well. I was excited thinking she gained some weight but when I weighed her at home she weighed 18.7lbs. So the food has gone straight to her legs, as in growing them long and lanky as seen in this picture.
Avi is very thin and long. She has started to outgrow some of her 12 month pants but since it is short season, being so skinny, 12 months fit well on her waist.
We went to Puerto Rico this last month, which will be a whole other post. But was a great traveler and was very friendly and happy. She was a bit clingy, but I will blame that on the tooth.
Avi learned a fun thing in the car one day, yelling her version of "wee" as we go down a big hill. Zuri loves to do it and now Avi. She will put her hands up and yell it.
She loves singing the days of the week song and a few of the days are very clear. She doesn't have any other words really. Sometimes I catch glimpses of words, but you wouldn't know them out of context. And a few times she has said bye or hi.
She now loves to wave bye and hi and give kisses both real kisses and blow kisses.
Avi has had a fun time at the pool this last month!!!
