Saturday we had an amazing opportunity. The Pecks had tickets for a fundraiser for Denver Health and part of the fundraiser was a private concert with Garth Brooks. For those of you that do not know, I LOVE Garth Brooks and I was quite sad when they told me the week before that their family would be going :( I was sad because I WANTED TO GO!! On Thursday I got a call from them saying, "do you know what we are doing on Saturday". I told them that it was rude to rub it in since I would LOVE to go. Then they said, we knew you would so we got TWO tickets for you and Pedro!!!!! I was sooo excited. He is my dream concert!
So on Saturday, we had games in the morning with a wake up call for me at 640am (which is about 4 hours earlier than my usual) I had a long day ahead. Pedro and I went to games in the morning, breakfast after, a movie, another game and then home to change for our concert!
The concert was at the same place they do the stock show. On the floor of the stock show they had tables for the big donors to have dinner. Kirk and Melissa were doing the dinner part. Pedro, Meg, Bren, Jac and I all came just for the show. There was about 1500 people there. His concert started at 10pm, but we had to be there at 830. So, at this time I had already been up longer than I am usually up on any given day..lol.
All I have to say is AMAZING! His voice is EXACTLY like it sounds on records. The only downside was that he did talk quite a bit, but he was funny. He played until about midnight. All I know is that I would pay whatever to go and see him perform a regular live concert!
We had to dress up for the concert. Here are some pictures of us:
While taking this picture someone asked if we were Pedro's harem!!! LOL NOT SO MUCH!

Puerto Rico...
We had a short but fun trip to Puerto Rico this weekend for Pedro's cousin's wedding.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and spent the day walking around Old San Juan. Then drove the hour and half to the town of San Sebastian where Pedro's extended family lives.
We stayed at his grandmas house. The house had no air conditioning, which made it quite hot during the day. But at night we slept with just a bed sheet and two fans going...but it did get kind of cool at night (or we got use to it). The shower also did not have hot water, instead it was cool. But since it was so hot it wasn't too bad.
Friday, we went to the beach where we rented kayaks for a while and then sat on the beach. Pedro got sunburned and I did not. Mainly because I believe in sunscreen and he thought he would not get burned. I tried to remind him that he hadn't been in the sun since last summer, but he didn't listen and he was burned. We left when a rain shower was approaching. We went out to dinner with his dad that night.
Saturday, was a LONG day. It started with the girls, Pedro's mom, sister, and brother's girlfriend and I getting our hair done. While Pedro helped his cousins bring the final stuff to the reception area. After that Pedro and I went to have my FAVORITE ice cream for the third time (lol) and a sandwich. Which I am glad we ate so close to the wedding time because they didn't serve the food until almost 800!
The wedding started at 200 and after the ceremony we went to the reception. They had this AMAZING band...they were great entertainers. They would be singing and you wouldn't realize half the group was gone and they would come in the door with a different outfit on and singing a different type of song...like one time they came in with mariachi clothes and sombreros on and started singing mexican style songs. It was a long night, we didn't get out until about 1100pm. But it was fun.
Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Easter 2010
This Easter Pedro had to work. So I woke up and headed to the 9am church service. I arrived just in the nick of time, as usual. After singing some of my favorite songs at church (lol), we had the small breakfast at the church. My grandma likes to support the church, so we do breakfast there and then head to brunch. A lot of food?! YES! However, I think my grandma out eats us all, and I am really being serious. She ate breakfast before church, breakfast at church (pancakes, eggs with ham, muffin, fruit and coffee), then brunch at the country club. She had a plate FULL of food there too!
After all the food, I came home read my book out in the sun, and I am about to bike inside and watch some of the women's ncaa games.
Here are some pictures from the day...
