Running is currently my sport of choice. Well, choice isn't exactly the word, but sport "in training". I am hoping to improve my pace in my aerobic zones. Sounds fun right??
Funny thing about my running is that I am now going to be the Running Club Coach for the new gym near the house. Yeah, funny because can you be a RUN coach if your RUN looks more like a WALK? Maybe I should call it the Walking Club? When the gym opens, in about a month maybe I will be a bit faster. If not then I will have to recruit what appear to be moderate speed walkers. Not speed walkers, since they are probably way faster!
The benefit of this new coaching gig, is not financial. It is the benefit of having a free gym membership to, what appears to be, an amazing gym. I will also be able to take masters swimming. Yes, I plan on taking masters to hopefully teach me to swim better. The last benefit will be to have a few group runs, though not as fun as a group run would be since I have to do the planning etc.
Then starting in January I will be the Tri Coach for the gym. Again, funny since I am looking for my own coach. But this is mainly for people that want to learn about tri's. Info about types of training, distances etc. Again, something that I have to plan and figure out what to coach.
As most people know I am on the computer researching training, tri's and stalking some really good athletes, so I'm pretty sure I can help people feel better about racing and learning what to do.
A last funny note, Pedro went to the store again. This time with a list. Amazingly, he returned with everything on the list (which is better than myself, I always forget something) and even bought the last few things which I forgot to put on the list! Maybe more shopping for him, though I will say I was kind of sad that he didn't get any good treats, I was kind of hoping for some surprise item I wouldn't buy.

My daughter does tris Power walking rather than running, and is really fast, she wins most of them, but it doesn't just hapen she trains very hard too, but finds the results worth the effort, as you do.
Greetings from New Zealand.
She has a blog she keeps on her races too. I could give you her blog site if you wished.
