TriGirl14: 21 Months...

I feel like a lot of the posts are pretty much just repeats each month. We haven't had a lot of changes around here. Zuri's language is getting better, by better I mean she has used the same words "Stella, Ball, Dog, No, Dora, Shoe" Repeatedly the last few days/weeks. She now likes to tell me what she doesn't want and if she wants it, she doesn't say yes, she smiles or says nothing. Her "No" sounds like "Doe" to me, but she accompanies it with a head shake. She also likes to tell me "Bubbles!" at bath time. Zuri has also added "backpack" and "map" to her words, but I'm not sure if anyone else would know that she is saying these. The other day she saw Papa and yelled "Papa!" She still doesn't say Mama really, so that is kind of funny.

We have hit an issue at nap time where she will lay down and talk for about 10 minutes then she will cry for about 10 minutes before she will take her nap. No idea what that is all about, but hopefully she gets over it soon. Bed time and nap times are now with things she wants to nap with either her dogs, ball or books and sometimes a combination of all three.

She LOVES balls and most day's can't seem to be without one. When I bring her to gym daycare she runs to go find a ball. When we go to any gym or any place she sees a ball and goes crazy for it. Her meal times usually also mean having a ball or an animal.

At library playtime she was hoarding all of the balls..

She looks tired here but she was actually having a lot of fun!

Sitting in high chairs at restaurants is not so much fun anymore. She wants to get out and sit with me in the booth. Which wouldn't be an issue if she would just sit, but some days she wants to stand. Other days she is good and will sit in a chair or the booth and be good. Who knows what makes the difference.

Zuri loves to socialize with other kids and seems to be happy most when we are out and about. She also loves to be outside. She loves animals and can now make most animal sounds. She still loves to snort like a pig and loves to say "choo choo," which is what I hear some mornings while she is still laying in her bed. No idea why she would say "choo choo" in her room since she doesn't have a train, but apparently she likes them. She also loves shoes and likes to carry as many things as possible around. Zuri loves to look at planes fly by and yells and points at them. She doesn't say plane, so I'm not sure what it is she is saying.

Zuri loves to dance and sing. I have no idea what she is singing, she must be tone deaf like me because it doesn't even sound familiar. But it must be some song she has heard at some point.

Zuri also loves her leappad and now definitely knows how to use it. She still can't use the games very well, but can pick which movie she wants to watch and knows how to get in and out of everything. Same thing with the phone, she loves to watch her PBS kids app and play games (animal sounds, peekaboo barn).

21 month info:

Height: I am betting that she is only about 36 inches now.
Weight: 27lbs or 27.5lbs
Clothing size: 2t-3t (I wish this range wasn't so large..3t fits kids up to like 39 inches and starts at 36! so those items are really big and the 2t stuff can be perfect or just small).
Shoe size: 6-7
Teeth: 4 molars, 8 other teeth, still missing the eye teeth.
